**The Opportunity**
We have received a grant from the National Youth Council to co-design an experiential program with the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) to equip 760 youths with basic mental health knowledge, methods for coping with stress and skills to support their peers.
Called the _REST for Wellness _program, we plan to engage with 12 Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges to deliver these programs and need a Wellness Program Associate / Ambassador to support us with the following responsibilities:
- Deliver the _REST for Wellness _program in schools as a Trainer - you will receive training from both REACH and TWIS to ensure that you are well-equipped
- Coordinate training schedules with teachers from the 12 Secondary Schools and Junior Colleges and prepare relevant program materials and logistics to ensure that the program runs smoothly
- Conduct market research and provide insights to contribute to wellness-related materials and programs with TWIS guidance to gain a deeper understanding of wellness knowledge and future trends
- Support co-founders with operational tasks, which include and are not limited to, drafting proposals, recruiting and managing volunteers, managing schedules and tasks, and other admin work
- Support our wellness-related initiatives by connecting and working with our partners, vendors, and the community and kick-start your personal networking experience
- Raise awareness and engagement with TWIS by planning, designing and executing our social media strategy. You will plan posting schedules, craft social media posts, write articles or design graphics to share highlights from our events and activities
**What You Will Experience**
Here at TWIS, we value our people and believe in nurturing them to learn and grow. If you are selected, here are some learning experiences you can look forward to:
- Gain a deeper understanding of mental health and specific mental illnesses, as well as avenues for seeking help, methods for coping with stress and peer support skills you can use to support friends who are going through a difficult time
- Learn and practice your skills in teaching and facilitating discussions, including how to adapt to different audiences, how to ask generative questions, how to manage the energy of a small group and involve quieter people in the group’s discussion
- Contribute to creating positive change by helping more youths access practical knowledge to improve their mental well-being
