[What the role is]

Given the disruptions in the maritime sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic and evolving geopolitical situation as well as ongoing decarbonisation efforts and preparing for climate change events, there is a critical need to strengthen and future-proof our operational responses. This will help to reduce the risk of catastrophic impact on the global supply chain and mitigate negative consequences on safety and security in the maritime sector.

A key strategy is to invest and develop a multi-domain capability which is able to integrate and exploit the space, air, sea, sub-sea and cyber domains to enhance situational awareness and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our responses.

[What you will be working on]

The Head of Multi-Domain Capability Development Hub’s key responsibilities are:

- Lead a team of specialised operators and engineers to design and deliver key capabilities from space, air, sea, sub-sea and cyber domains.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and develop use cases as well as solutions based on operational objectives and requirements.
- Drive transformation of operational processes and workflows in partnership with relevant divisions across MPA.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in operational command and control systems, and where useful, incorporate them into MPA.
- Lead the design of the future Integrated Ops Hub which utilizes and integrates modern systems and cutting-edge technological solutions/innovations across various domains to achieve comprehensive situational awareness and excellent decision-support.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with the goals of the Integrated Ops Hub.

[What we are looking for]
- Background in an Information Technology, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- At least 10-15 years of working experience in Operations, Strategy and Transformation including experience in Capability Development and Change Management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of operators and engineers.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to lead and motivate teams.
- Good command of English and writing skills.
- Strong planning and organising abilities:

- Able to frame issues clearly and concisely leading to development of relevant and useful concepts;
- Good negotiation and organizational skills; able to lead multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to actualise concepts and fulfil intended outcomes.
- Able to leverage on data to develop empirical-based models for appreciation of system effectiveness and aid in decision making.
