**About the role**:
As a DevOps Systems Engineer, AWS and Linux, your team will maintain the critical server infrastructure that allows us to advance the way the world pays, banks and invests. You’ll be responsible for deploying new technologies as well as ensuring system performance.

Contribute to the global management of infrastructure (mostly LINUX) estate with a network covering 10+ sites predominantly in AWS.

**About the team**:
This is a unique role to join extremely technical and innovative global systems infrastructure team as the company continues to expand in Asia. The Infrastructure group provides the technology platform for the FIS Post Trade Processing solutions. The team is currently 8 people, with 2 people in the Hong Kong office, but we are part of a wider technology team with many members.

**What you will be doing**:

- Supporting messaging services and maintaining a secure environment.
- Proposing and implementing system enhancements.
- Monitoring system usage and performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Assisting with hardware and software upgrades or repairs.
- Systems Operations procedures / management e.g. handling out of hours events, prioritization, and escalation.
- Infrastructure Management: incl. dealing with service providers and experience handling Linux based systems (RedHat variants)
- Building, maintaining and using configuration management for AWS services

**What you will need**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in AWS, Linux, Terraform and Ansible
- Demonstrated evidence of strong technical ability by designing and maintaining complex systems.
- Practical experience in supporting and setting up Cloud Infrastructure, preferably AWS as well as configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- The ability to code fluently in at least one programming language, ideally Python and Unix Shell scripting.
- The ability to maintain Database infrastructure.

- A passion for automation and a desire to know how computers and networks inter-operate.
- Articulate, numerate and capable of negotiating high value technical equipment and services.
- Self-motivated with a desire to work closely with highly technical colleagues on all levels (from user support to building out new production infrastructure).
