**Job Description Summary**

The Workplace Strategy and user Research Lead for Real Estate plays a pivotal role in understanding the socio-cultural dynamics and behaviors that influence real estate markets and trends. This role requires a unique blend of anthropological insight, qualitative research skills, and a deep understanding of real estate principles. The position will conduct immersive fieldwork to observe, document, and analyze the interactions between individuals, communities, and their built environments.

**About the role**:

- **Field Research**: Conduct ethnographic fieldwork in various real estate settings such as neighborhoods, housing developments, commercial spaces, and public areas. This includes observing and documenting everyday activities, social interactions, spatial usage patterns, and cultural norms related to real estate.
- ** Participant Observation**: Engage with users of the workplace to gain insights into their perspectives, experiences, and needs regarding real estate. Build rapport and trust within communities to facilitate open dialogue and information sharing.
- ** Data Collection**: Employ a range of qualitative research methods such as interviews, focus groups, surveys, and visual documentation to gather data. Utilize digital tools and technologies for data collection and management while ensuring ethical research practices.
- ** Analysis and Interpretation**: Analyze ethnographic data to identify recurring themes, patterns, and underlying meanings related to real estate dynamics. Interpret findings within the context of economic, social, and cultural factors to inform strategic decision-making in real estate development, marketing, and policy.
- ** Strategy & Pipeline Development**: Designing the framework for research activities. Understanding client demand and constructing a plan for delivery of research initiatives.
- ** Report Writing and Presentation**: Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and visualizations summarizing research findings, insights, and recommendations. Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including colleagues, clients, policymakers, and community members.
- ** Collaboration and Networking**: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the Real Estate function including human resources, workplace strategy, operations management, designers to integrate ethnographic insights into broader real estate projects and initiatives. Build and maintain professional networks within academia, industry, and community organizations to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices.
- ** Continuous Learning**: Stay updated on advancements in ethnographic research methodologies, real estate trends, and related fields through ongoing learning, professional development, and attendance at conferences or workshops.

**About you**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Anthropology, Sociology, Urban Studies, Real Estate Development, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ethnographic research, preferably in the context of real estate or urban environments.
- Proficiency in qualitative research methods and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic, multicultural environments.
- Familiarity with real estate concepts, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
- Ethical conduct and respect for confidentiality in research practices.
