The Associate Manager of Sourcing is responsible for executing Category directives globally. He or she is the liaison among the Brand Product Development team, in-country offices, and cross-functional departments, to drive and monitor strategic category initiatives, and manage seasonal and ad hoc developments and key communications. He or she works in conjunction with stakeholders to support Brand needs. Communication and close collaborations with our global teams are a must

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**1. Product Development**
- Work with Brands on Furniture and Upholstery development needs
- Work with the global in-country teams to research, source & allocate the right product with the right vendor, at the right cost
- Provide cost analysis and comparisons across multiple vendors where needed
- Establish a Time & Action Calendar for each program
- Follow up & track milestones progress through regular updates in a timely manner

**2. Vendor performance**
- Partner with in-country team to establish strategic vendor development for long-term business growth
- Troubleshoot production and delivery problems, where needed.
- Evaluate and monitor the performance and capabilities of the Furniture and Upholstery vendor base and needs
- Support, facilitate, and drive alignment in the global vendor landscape

**3. Sourcing**
- Research, source/resource for new products/vendors
- Understand core & potential vendor capabilities to service business needs
- Support speed to market
- Support CSR, Greenguard, contract/B2B, etc corporate initiatives
- Support global risk mitigation strategies
- Prepare, update & share regular status trackers
- Support on ad hoc projects and/or other assigned duties

**JOB COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCES**

**Knowledge**

The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

- Minimum 5 years of regional sourcing and product development experience, preferably in the Furniture and/or Upholstery products
- knowledge of manufacturing processes in Furniture or home furnishing products

**Skills**

The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:

- proficiency in MS Office, E.g. Intermediate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Words
- ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- analytical and problem-solving skills
- good interpersonal skills
- good communication and negotiation skills

**Requirements**:

- Meticulous, detail-oriented with high accuracy working with large volumes of data
- Fast learner with initiative and the ability to work independently
- Tertiary education or above
- Those without relevant qualifications but with substantial years of relevant experience will also be considered
