**Job Description
Ensure smooth and effective safe operations of the Company’s vessels by ensuring that all safety and regulatory obligations are complied with in the process of delivering the most efficient and cost effective solutions to our clients.
Carry out audits as well as vessel inspections to ensure the office staff and vessels’ crew continuously adhere to the safe work practices.
- Monitor day to day ship’s operation for smooth activities at sea and port without delays and/or incidents.
- Attend regular Operations meeting to discuss operational work plans and its implementation.
- Ensure and verify that the certifications of vessel are valid and to avoid failure due non compliance
- Ensure all weekly, cumulative and annual corrections for navigational charts and publications are provided onboard in timely manner.
- Briefing of Shipboard Senior Officers prior to joining vessels about Safety Management Systems, company policies, vessel operations and specific charterers’ requirements.
- Conduct annual onboard navigation audits, preferably during a short voyage. Input navigation audit results into audits database and follow up on all deficiencies and defects for closure
- Liaise with Principals regarding safe vessel operations
- Follow up with closure of all Port State Control, OVID, OSVIS & CMID observations
- Assist in reviewing all safety-related reports from the vessels and other similar reports from other observations.
- Assist in coordinating, arranging and follow up with major oil inspection
- Work with the technical superintendent to maintain, control and monitor port and charterer requirements.
- Attend Charterers meetings and workshops.
- To be a member of the shore Emergency Response Team for the vessels under their charge.
- Assist the Operation Manager with the training of all Operations Personnel in all aspects of Operational functions.
- Ensure that all Client queries (internal/external) are immediately attended to.
- To implement, maintain and improve the Company’s QHSSE Management Systems in the office and (ISM, ISPS, MLC) onboard the vessels.
- To ensure that all QHSSE regulatory obligations are fully complied with throughout in the office and onboard the vessels.
- To carry out Internal Audits and coordinate External Audits in the office and onboard the vessels.
- To maintain Operations/QHSSE performance monitoring and reporting processes.
- To support the Business Development team in tender preparations, pre-qualification clarifications meetings, contract management, etc.
- To support the Operations teams in mobilizations preparations, joint-ops meetings, customer audit attendance, etc.
- To investigate and close out incidents reports, and prepare Learning from Incidents (LFIs) safety alerts to share with the Management and vessels.

**Job Requirements**
- OSV Experience
- Min 5 years experience in Offshore Industry
- Experience with working in an environment where charters are short to mid-term and vessels move from region to region for charters.
- Team player yet able to work independently when required
- CSO / DPA certificates
- Min Diploma with Maritime or relevant qualifications or higher
- Able to travel with short notice given
