Mould Shop Supervisor

Ashtead Technology are looking for a hands-on Mould Shop Supervisor to take charge of our Mould (tooling) department In Singapore, leading the way in efficiency, precision, and innovation.

You will oversee the full lifecycle of mould production, from maintenance to manufacturing, while guiding a skilled team of toolmakers, technicians, and support staff. Day to day you'll be involved in:

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the mould shop, including new tool builds, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Supervising, training, and evaluating the mould shop team, ensuring performance targets and quality standards are met.
- Coordinating with production, engineering, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of moulds and tooling.
- Developing and maintaining schedules for mould builds and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Monitoring tool performance and address tooling issues to improve lifespan and efficiency.
- Overseeing inventory of mould components, tools, and consumables, ensuring availability and cost control.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, cost, and scrap rates.
- Maintaining documentation of mould designs, changes, maintenance history, and technical specifications.
- Working closely with suppliers and subcontractors for outsourcing specialized tooling work when necessary.
- Ensuring all health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed.

**What experience you’ll bring**:

- You have proven experience in a mould/tool shop, preferably in a manufacturing or plastic injection moulding environment.
- You have supervisory or managerial experience.
- You have strong technical knowledge of mould making, repair techniques, CNC machining, EDM, and conventional machining.
- You have knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems.
