**What the role is**
**What you will be working on**
- Assist with development of a Shelter Management System (SMS) including operational inputs and system validation
- Oversee the daily husbandry and care of animals.
- Administer treatments and medications to the animals
- Assist with shelter management and operation, including triage and monitoring of animals, animal handling and restraint, maintenance of treatment and surgery rooms, record-keeping, data and inventory management.
**What we are looking for**
- Diploma in Veterinary Technology / Veterinary Bioscience / Biological Sciences or Nitec/Higher Nitec in Applied & Health Sciences courses with 2 years of relevant working experience preferred
- Independent and able to work effectively with others in a team environment
- Required to work on weekends and public holidays based on roster
- Positive attitude, meticulous, energetic, physically fit, enjoys outdoor activity, and passionate about animals.
- Competence and prior experience in the handling of common companion animal species, including but not limited to dogs, cats, small mammals and birds.
- Willingness and dedication in acquiring new skills and knowledge related to animal care and rehabilitation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in animal training and behaviour as well as working in a shelter environment is preferable.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Applications
