**Teaching Subject: English Language**

**Category 1: School Duties and Commitment**

1.1 Represent Ascensia International School

1.2 Abide by the Teacher’s Code of Conduct and Core Values

1.3 Attend School meetings when informed

1.4 Refer requests for private tuition to school heads and the Vice Principal

1.5 Any other tasks as assigned by Management

**Category 2: Teaching and Learning**

2.1 Conduct classes as assigned by the Academic Department

2.2 Prepare teaching materials, lesson plan, pre/post lesson reports and students’ progress reports

2.3 Prepare and mark placement tests and test/exam papers, as assigned

**Category 3: Student Interaction**

3.1 Maintain the cleanliness of the classroom and take care of the equipment and furniture in the classroom, with the co-operation of your students

3.2 Bring to the attention of the school heads and Vice Principal if there are students facing extreme difficulty fitting into the average pace or standard in the class

**Category 4: Communication**

4.1 Prepare students’ Progress Reports

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Degree in English Language / Linguistics or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience with Secondary and/or Tertiary Students.
- Teaching qualification from recognized institution will be an advantage.
- Able to design courses based on IGCSE and CIE A Level curriculum.
- Able to adapt and communicate to students in an International environment.

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 3-4 months

**Salary**: $40.00 per hour
