**SEMICONDUCTOR & ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS (SAS)**

**Job Purpose**:
The Purchasing Specialist executes local, site specific Sourcing Strategy. The role may also involve participation as regional team member for assigned Direct Materials Subcategory. The role works with site management personnel as well as other stakeholders to implement sourcing projects, and identify and drive other savings projects. The role includes purchase of goods, materials, and services to ensure site operational needs, taking into account sourcing strategy, price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. In addition, assists in managing strategic suppliers‘ relationship and interfaces between internal customers and suppliers. This includes assisting in improving supplier quality and resolve escalated sourcing issues. This role reports to a multi-site purchasing supervisor and works in close coordination with Regional Sourcing Managers, as well as local Supply Chain.

**Responsibilities**:

- Raise PO and follow up with vendors for timely delivery.
- Work with operations team on material purchasing plan to support production and ensure continuous material supply.
- Escalate material supply issue and work with team within region and globally on potential path forward.
- Provide material management data for review and feedback on potential improvement in material management process and planning.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by working closely with operations team.
- Maintain strategic relationships with vendors, negotiate best rates and credit terms.
- Measure and manage the vendors cost, quality and delivery performance.
- Ensure all activities related to purchasing function comply with company policies, Quality and EHS procedures.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Proactive, positive attitude, responsible individual and proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin as suppliers and vendors include those based in Mainland china.
