At Marina Bay Sands, the primary responsibility of the Data Service Manager / Senior Manager is responsible for the overall data services, execute all related activities to develop, maintain and manage data pipelines, databases, and related solutions for both Corporate and MBS Information Technology teams, whilst aligning to standards and best practices followed within the organization.

Primary responsibilities will be to manage existing dataset replications, restores and queries related to the data content. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and a quality product are essential.

**JOB SCOPE**
- Reporting to the Associate Director of Systems Infrastructure
- Fully Responsible for the data services including databases and big data, data analytics, data transformation, services design and integration, support and disaster recovery for all OnPrem/Cloud or Hybrid Cloud hosting services model. The service scope cover MBS & Corporate Data Services and provide On-Prem Data replication/Recovery for Corporate Office.
- Act as Subject Matter Experts on content of the data, the schemas, and the relations on data services platform, data analytics and database solution.
- Support business on queries and visualizations over the databases
- Introduce effective recovery tools and processes to meet the needs of the data operation and recovery readiness.
- Ensure data backup, replication and data consistency validation for restoration and recovery readiness across sites.
- Leading on troubleshoot and remediate any incident or problem with infrastructure and data pipelines affecting availability of data services.
- Possess solid understanding IT policies, standards, SOP, procedures, regulatory/statutory and audit requirements.
- Update of processes and SOP, security hardening, alignment to standards, compliant, regulatory, and audit requirement.
- Setting up/Update of support processes and workflow, operating guides, and run book for smooth operation support and to handle production service request, access request, coordinate and raise change request to seek approval on change request.
- Setup regular monitoring/health checks and review them to detect any issue require follow up action to address capacity, performance issue, potential down time, data replication and consistency issue.
- Responsible to risk and vulnerability assessment and come up with a risk remediation/security patch/mitigation according to risk rating timeline and follow up with the technology security and cyber risk team to manage risk exception if any.

**Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with Architecture team on Data Architect solution, end-to-end product suite, including cloud hosted solution on Microsoft Azure, GCP, Alicloud and future providers as per the business need.
- Work closely with other counterpart - System Architecture, IT Delivery team on Data Services/Engineering.
- Provide expertise support, technical governance, operation support related to data Services - on-prem/cloud deployment, and operations.
- Support projects throughout the project lifecycles, manage conflicting priorities, deliverables, and schedules.
- Provide support to other stake holders in relation to data services.

**Service Support**:

- Define and design operation support process/workflow to enable operation teams to provide L1/L2 support. Monitor and oversee adhere to support KPI.
- Review on service operation gaps/KPI, provide regular training to L1/L2 support for continuous service improvement.
- Leading on escalated support to the fellow Support team members /Users on Data Services Platforms.
- Review on the health checks report to identify potential issues to resolve beforehand to avoid downtime.
- Identify and implement services improvements on operational monitors to measure system performance and capacity metrics.
- Submit Budgetary requirement on time for project proposal, operation capacity upgrade, service improvement plan, lifecycle maintenance contracts renewal.
- Prepare cloud services metrics and performance reports to management and stakeholders and keeping operation records efficiently for audit and operation analysis.
- Establish and maintain all data operation processes through standardization, continuous service improvement.
- Tracking on the lifecycle of all deployed services and component for timely update/upgrade, ensure timely renewal of subscription, maintenance agreements and professional services needed to support system operation.
- Work closely with Support vendor to support the Data Services and infrastructure according to the contractual requirement.
- Foster a highly effective teamwork environment where accountability, clear effective communication, and a high level of customer service is demonstrated.
- Support 24x7 hours business operation, after office hours on-call support is expected.
