We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an** Assistant Manager, Life Underwriting.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Communicate decisions to intermediaries within the agreed turnaround time. This role includes negotiating terms with reinsurers, handling enquiries and resolving appeals with the distribution channels
- Build the trust and develop strong relationships with key distributors and be willing to work collaboratively to facilitate the customer experience
- Work with team members to implement initiatives that enhance the underwriting operations
- Coach and train junior underwriters
- Conduct underwriting-related trainings

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- A recognized degree, diploma or a “A” Levels, equivalent professional insurance qualification
- Having a basic Nursing or related medical background or have worked as a paramedic is an added advantage
- At least 5 years of underwriting experience
- With exposure and participation in the successful delivery of underwriting-related projects and initiatives
- FALU/FLMI qualification is an advantage
