**About the Role**:
Rio Tinto is embarking on an exciting roadmap for digital transformation in our legal function. To achieve this, we are looking for a Techie with deep domain knowledge in Power Platform, with an emphasis on model-driven apps and Dataverse.

You will be instrumental in driving digital transformation by enhancing business processes, managing data, and showcasing your strong technical skills.

Reporting to the Manager Digital Transformation, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

- Design, build, deploy, and manage complex solutions, primarily using Dataverse and model-driven apps.
- Design data models to meet business requirements, and manage the migration of legacy business data into Dataverse.
- Create and maintain custom connectors, and manage integrations with third-party services using APIs.
- Develop custom code to address complex business requirements (including the building of PCF components and Dataverse plugins).

**About You**:
You will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation agenda of one of our major business functions. This function is currently in the process of overhauling its operations, by pursuing a systems-based approach and integrating with the systems of the broader enterprise.

You will be positioned in this function, and contribute to achieving its objectives by leading the successful build, deployment, and maintenance of a range of Power Platform solutions. Key to this will be your ability to use your strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders and articulate complex technical information, both verbally and in writing.

The ability to operate independently while maintaining a collaborative mindset will be critical in this role. You will manage and own solutions, while adhering to enterprise governance and architectural guidelines. It will be essential for you to establish and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with our in-house Power Platform team, and align your individual contributions with the wider team's strategy and goals.

**What you will need for the role**:
**To succeed in this role, you will have**:

- Deep domain knowledge with Power Platform and/or Dynamics 365.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, FetchXML, and Power Fx.
- Solid experience with ETL and data migration processes within Dataverse, including usage of Power Query.
- Strong knowledge of solution management and Dataverse security models (Security Roles, permissions, cascading behaviours).
- Familiarity with best practices for Application Lifecycle Management, including Power Platform Build Tools, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with a goal-oriented approach to projects.
- Flexibility and willingness to collaborate with stakeholders across several time zones.

**It will also be beneficial if you have**:

- Experience with Dataverse (Common Data Service) and model-driven apps.
- Experience with Azure Logic Apps and Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with Power Platform CLI.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications.
