A piledriver operator operates machinery used to install piles into the ground to support structures such as buildings, bridges, or other construction projects. The operator works with various types of piling equipment, ensuring the foundation of structures is solid and secure.
- Ability to operate complex machinery, piledriver to drive piles into the ground.
- Install piles (wood, steel, concrete) to the required depth and alignment.
- Prepare site and work with the team to ensure the site is properly prepared and safe before operating the piledriver.
- Review Plans and ensure pilings are installed accurately.
- Regularly inspect and maintain piling machinery equipment prior to beginning shift to ensure there are no mechanical problems and to ensure safety and efficiency during operations.
- Cleans, lubricate and performs basic maintenance on machinery.
- Make adjustments to ensure piles are driven at the proper angle, depth, and spacing.
- Adhere to safety regulations and construction guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment for all workers.
- Document any machinery malfunctions or issues and report to supervisors for repairs or adjustments.
- Be prepared to work in harsh weather conditions and challenging environments, as construction sites can vary greatly.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as pile driver operator
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot piling machinery.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination to control heavy equipment and make precise adjustments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and project specifications.
- Good communication skills to work with a team and follow instructions.
- Must be able to handle various weather conditions, including heat, rain, or cold.
- Good vision and hearing to ensure safe operation of equipment and awareness of surroundings.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that arise during operations.
- Knowledge of soil conditions and the impact they have on pile-driving operations is a plus.
