**Responsibilities**
- Design, install and commission Optical and Layer 2 network (DWDM and Metro Ethernet)
- To perform Proof of Concept (PoC) and User Acceptance Tests (UAT)
- Perform testing and data analysis in optical fibre network
- Provide Level 2 remote and on-site technical support (24x7 on rotation shift)
- Troubleshoot network and system problems to provide solutions to hardware/software fault
- Liaise with Product Manufacturers on Level 3 support
- Co-ordinate all logistic support for project implementation, RMA, and spares management
- Perform documentation and ensure audit compliance
- Participate in ongoing training activities to constantly upskill himself
**Requirements**:
- Diploma in Engineering or IT preferably in Networking or Telecommunications
- A minimum 3 years progressive experience in technical support and/or network project implementation
- Hands-on experience installing DWDM or Metro Ethernet networking products and switches will be advantageous. Otherwise training will be provided.
- Knowledge of Unix or Linux operating systems will be good
- Ability to work independently while at the same time maintaining strong team work
- Ability to perform standby in off office hour (rotation basis)
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle and resolve technical issues
- Comfortable to work in Data Centre environment
- Knowledge and experience on handling the power supply systems in Data Centre would be advantageous.
