**ABOUT THE POSITION**:The APAC Privacy, Confidential Client Data (CCD) Manager is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of the firm's Global Privacy and CCD Programs (including its’ framework, policies, procedures, and governance operating model) that support Institutional and Intermediary clients located in the Asia-Pacific region. The APAC Privacy, CCD Manager will partner with the Global Privacy Office, Privacy Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, and other business units to design and deliver effective privacy and CCD programs applicable to Global Distribution (GD) APAC that (i) comply with relevant legislation and regulation in a multi-jurisdictional regulatory environment and (ii) monitor and mitigate privacy/CCD risks.

The incumbent will assist with or manage a variety of complex data protection issues and requests including overseeing the resolution of privacy/CCD matters and conducting privacy
- and security-by-design activities. The incumbent will serve as the Global Distribution (GD) APAC Privacy/CCD Lead representing the APAC Institutional and Intermediary business units and will be expected to have a working knowledge of practices in GD APAC’s sales, marketing, and client services/operations teams. The GD APAC Lead Manager is part of the first line of defense and provides direction and consulting on privacy/CCD matters to business managers across GD APAC including all investment products and clients serviced.

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provides advanced advice for the senior managers responsible for business unit compliance with data protection regulations. Works with assigned internal clients to identify areas of program improvement, problem resolution, and follow-ups as needed. Leads Privacy by Design and Security by Design reviews across GD APAC whenever there are new or changes to existing products, processes, systems or vendors that involve personal or confidential client data, respectively. Coordinates other privacy/CCD related matters such as individual rights requests and complaints across GD APAC.
- Supports the Enterprise Privacy Incident Management process as it pertains to GD APAC privacy and CCD incidents. Serve as a key member of the Privacy Incident Response Team and triage incidents involving GD APAC Institutional and Intermediary clients. Works closely with appropriate business partners to ensure all data security incidents are properly escalated and managed holistically from escalation and notification to root cause analysis, remediation, and closure within the appropriate system of record. Manage the collection and reporting of business intelligence metrics related to data security incidents and present to key stakeholders including Senior Management within the business, Enterprise Risk and Legal.
- Acts as the lead on projects driven by activities led by the Global Privacy Office ( _e.g., _Records of Processing Activities) or the needs of the business units. Projects may be firmwide across Global Distribution or impact a specific GD region but are limited in risk. Coordinates internal and external resources to accomplish project goals, manages the project team, and follows up on project deadlines. Such projects generally meet a regulatory requirement or firmwide objective.
