We are hiring a Senior Engineer, Mechanical (Concept Development)to identify, ideate, and execute innovative forefront mechanical design topics for Hearing Aid. This includes forefront architecture and supporting the Mechanical Integration Development team in design and development. This position would be instrumental in bringing up the team's product design knowledge and best practices through innovation.

**Main responsibilities**:
Lead Design Engineer for complex BTE (Behind-The-Ear) concept development projects:

- Performs as a Lead and architect complex BTE concept/structure with appropriate software
- Design plastic, metal, and rubber parts in the context of (BTE) hearing aid devices - implement new technologies or concepts into BTE design
- Be in charge of risk assessment, testing, and proof of concept
- Assess new technologies related to DFA and DFM
- Hands-on prototyping of samples for proof of concept
- Collaborate strategically with key suppliers and research institutions

Innovation and Forefront Projects:

- Develop and architect forefront projects to ensure enhancement of technology for future hearing aid generations
- Collaborate with other technology domain experts such as hardware, acoustics, simulation in idea creation, and in reaching a 'proof of concept' design for forefront projects
- Performs forefront ideas / concepts with Suppliers and / or Research Institutions
- Analyze industry benchmark on good practices / designs.
- Lead / participate in formulating strategic initiatives related to new technology developments related to HA industry

Others:

- Support - Contribute and participate in cross-functional and global projects
- Initiates new engineering concepts in consideration with organization processes
- Actively seeks new industry trends, demonstrating the ability to understand the implication of implementing such trends into current projects / products
- Owns complex and unusual technical problems and drive for implementation of solutions
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of advanced professional experience working in consumer product design and development with plastic, sheet metal, and rubber parts and knowledge in plastic injection, sheet metal stamping tooling, and surface decoration processes.
- Knowledge of Solidworks / ProE / Wildfire / CREO
- Exhibit strong abilities / tendencies in critical thinking, mentoring / leading, presentation and communication skills
- Independent and resourceful
- Exhibit willingness to challenge status quo and drive improvements on technical solutions and current practices
