- PRIVATE CAPITAL ADVISORY_

Private Capital Advisory is a function within the Financial Advisory Arm of Lazard. Lazard is a global leader in providing capital and liquidity solutions for investors and managers of private investment funds. Our group has built one of the broadest institutional investor coverage networks in the industry and has cultivated relationships with over 1,500 investing institutions globally. Our practice is consistent with Lazard’s approach of delivering highly experienced, senior-level execution capabilities and combines investment banking activity (deal origination, due diligence, strategic and financial advice, structuring, execution) with capital markets functions (sales, distribution).

The Lazard Private Capital Advisory has two core businesses: Private Capital Advisory and Secondary Advisory activities. The group’s clients are private equity, credit, real estate and infrastructure investment specialists, who pursue investment opportunities across the full spectrum of strategies within these alternative investment spaces.
- Private Capital Advisory: the group is mandated by private equity, credit, real estate and infrastructure investment fund managers globally to raise capital from the institutional investor market for the fund manager’s investment vehicle.
- Secondary Advisory: the group is mandated by investors seeking to exit their investments in active investment funds. Within such mandates the Lazard team advises clients through the process in the absence of any regulated public exchange.

Interns in Lazard's Private Capital Advisory will work in tandem with Analysts and Associates as they work closely with the fund managers and investors, both in the preparation of marketing materials and during the marketing and due diligence phases of the fund. Interns will also be involved in the private equity secondary advisory process through the preparation of documents, fund analysis and process management:
Private Capital Advisory
- Preparing presentation materials for prospective clients;
- Analyzing client financial and performance information and assisting in the group's due diligence investigations of prospective clients;
- Assisting in the preparation of marketing materials for clients, including private placement memoranda and investor presentation materials;
- Managing the roadshow, travel and related logistics of capital raising activities;
- Assisting in preparing responses to investor due diligence requests;
- Maintaining a database of investor commentary, feedback and interest in a particular fund; and
- Tracking market data to assist the group’s communications with fund managers and investors

Secondary Advisory
- Preparing presentation materials for prospective clients;
- Analyzing and valuing underlying company/fund;
- Assisting in the preparation of marketing materials at both the indicative offer and binding offer stages;
- Organizing the due diligence process (online dataroom, meetings, conference calls, etc.)

**Job Requirements**
- In 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate studies
- Strong academic track record
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple tight deadlines
- Independent and fast learner who is ready to take responsibility for assigned tasks and deliverables
- Strong quantitative and technical skills
- Genuine interest in financial services and alternative investments
