**Café Attendant**

Desired Experience
- Early morning availability to include weekends and holidays
- Ensure appliances (coffee makers, toasters, waffle makers, soup station, ) are turned on or off at appropriate times
- Follow and ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures, such as product rotation, first-in/first-out [FIFO]
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company Food Safety Programs within assigned area of responsibility
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to assist in preparing a variety of food items

**Job Description**:
Job responsibilities for this position include:

- Opening of the café in the morning.
- Moderate food preparation
- Responsible for set-up of daily preparation
- The ability to establish and maintain par stocks of all supplies
- Communicate with management on food and product quality or presentation
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers and maintain utility accounts
- The ability to establish and maintain par stocks of all supplies
- Complete and retrieve all product requisitions
- Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and customer area
- Wiping down tables, chairs, counters and other surfaces in the Café throughout the day
- Replenishing supplies, including silverware, napkins, cups, straws, salt and pepper, to ensure availability for customers
- Provide friendly assistance to the customers and serve customers
- Perform all additional tasks in the Café operations department
- Assist at the service counter, handle payment transactions

Qualification
- Acting as Account Services backup for all support functions (handling calls, connect open calls logs, e-responding to mails, processing payment plans, preparing check requests, serving customers)
- Experience working with cashier transactions
- Rotate and maintain product to sell dates
- Handle all monies and credit card policies
- Requisition, pick up, verify, and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the Cafe
- Respond properly in any property emergency or safety situation
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by business management and staff
