**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Continuously identifying opportunities for waste reduction, process simplification, leverage and automation;
- Facilitating continuous improvement activities at both local and group levels; analysing business requirements, identifying value-adding activities and designing best practice processes
- Facilitating meetings with local managers to ensure full support for the implementation of new process and solutions as well as capturing direct feedback.
- Perform “go to the gemba” for process confirmation and ensure hands on implementation in the organisation. Showing natural curiosity to the business and the culture it is built on. Note: This will require some travelling as AE has offices and vessels globally.
- Define and develop, in collaboration with process owners and technology teams, KPIs to effectively follow up on initiatives such as the implementation of new system functionalities and/or process standards
- Continuously train stakeholders and SMEs in lean methodology and encourage a local continuous improvements culture as a natural part of executing initiatives.
- Contributing to development of training material and delivery of training as required.
**Skills & Professional Requirements**:
- An advanced degree as well as a keen interest in process excellence, technology, and change management in a global organisation
- Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodology with evidence of successful outcomes
- Strong project management, stakeholder management and change management skills
- Experienced workshop facilitator of process optimisation, standardisation, systematic problem solving etc., preferably also online
- A keen eye for identifying waste vs. value adding and understanding how to design for RFT and flow
- Data analysis and visualization, high understanding of KPIs and performance management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, required to work across numerous business stakeholders globally
- A global mindset - experienced in working with continuous improvements in a larger organisation of comparable size and complexity
- Specific technical skills in:
- Process flow tools such as LucidChard, Visio or other
- Excel
- Data visualization tools like Power BI, QlikView or other
- A positive troublemaker (dare to challenge existing process - with a positive attitude)
- Endlessly openminded - a “no” needs data, otherwise it is a possibility
- Passionately curious - with a strong desire for fun on the job as well as deep engagement
- Forcefully resilient - get things done, also when it gets tough
- Rigorously creative - all challenges are seen as opportunities
