The engineering team at GIVE.asia builds software solutions for many stakeholders: givers, fundraisers, and charity staff. We are looking for a senior back-end engineer with Java/Kotlin/Scala background to maintain and build the infrastructure for our products.

We are an agile, cross-functional team and you will have a lot of ownership over the product and a meaningful impact on our success.

**Responsibilities**
- Implement back-end functionalities using Scala (Play framework)
- Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of our project
- Iterate quickly based on product and clients’ feedback
- Implement efficient queries on PostgreSQL database
- Ensure the stack is designed and built for speed and scalability

**Requirements**:

- Experience with Java/Kotlin/Scala
- Good understanding and practical experience with SQL/PostgreSQL
- Comfortable working with RESTful APIs, Cloud Services
- Experience with writing tests
- Good written and oral English communication skills, able to support decisions made in your code
- Keen eye for details and a commitment to excellence
- Be willing to communicate, share, teach and learn from your teammates
- Be open to receiving constructive feedback and turning it into improvements
- Have an innate curiosity and desire to solve problems
