**Role Purpose**

Work with the relevant peer engineering groups to design and implement (with support from the relevant Operational Groups) a Windows desktop environment including the endpoint management solution in accordance with the documented business requirements related to SOI. Function as the Service Owner (not Operational Owner) for the desktop hardware, operating system and endpoint management solution.

- Previous experience of designing, implementing and maintaining a medium-large Windows desktop environment using Microsoft SCCM.
- Previous experience of designing, maintaining and supporting OS Deployment and OS Upgrade methodologies.
- Ownership of configuration management as it pertains to the Windows 11 build.
- Responsible for testing, approving and releasing all Windows Desktop OS-related patches.
- 3rd level escalation for Windows Desktop stability and/or performance problems.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining concise technical documentation including; design artifacts, knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
- Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory/Azure Active Directory.
- Expert-level knowledge of the Windows security framework.
- Expert-level knowledge of PC Hardware and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of the Adaptiva content delivery products.
- Good understanding of VMware ESXi host and VM device management.
