**Roles & Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the incumbent for Programme Facilitator position is a Part Time role providing classroom facilitation for BCARE Joy connection (JOYC). The incumbent teaches and manages classroom, provides for students’ welfare, and works closely with the Centre Manager in planning the programmes and special events for students in JOYC.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise student homework and spelling
- Prepare and conduct daily enrichment programme
- Fetch students from nearby school
- Decorate wall displays that depict relevant themes throughout the year
- Provide care in student medication, meals and other needs
- Work closely with parents & Centre Manager for the development of the student
- Ensure the safety of the students at all times

**Requirements**:

- At least an 'O' level with some years of relevant work experience
- Diploma Fresh Graduate can be considered
- Ability to manage a class independently with mínimal supervision
- Willing to learn and take initiative
- A team player, cheerful, enthusiastic and love working with children
- Some experience working with primary school children an advantage
- **Working Hours: 1.00pm to 7.00pm (6hrs/day) Mondays to Fridays**

Part-time hours: 30 hours per week

**Bethesda CARE Centre** (BCARE) is a voluntary welfare organization formed with the purpose to express care for the community through social service and welfare assistance.

It is registered with the Registry of Societies in 1996 (ROS Reg. No. 248/96. WEL). We are registered as a charity under the Charities Act and a member of the National Council of Social Services since 2002. In November 2007 BCARE was conferred IPC (Institute of Public Character) status by the Commissioner of Charities under the Ministry of Community Development Youth and Sports.

In recent years, the work of BCARE has been enlarged with a network of 7 service centres including 3 student care centres in Hougang. Since 1997, BCARE has provided an extensive range of services for the individual person, families, children, youth and elderly over 10,000 households in the community in Hougang.

**Our Objectives are**:

- To provide community assistance to the poor and underprivileged; to those who are weak and neglected; and to those who are aged or sick.
- To promote relationship enrichment between parents and children; spouses; inter-generational family members; teachers and pupils; and peers.
- To provide student pastoral care and counselling including the liaising with school principals and teachers.
