**Job Summary**:
Manage the hotel credit risk effectively and efficiently as well as protect hotels’ revenue through follow up on all accounts due to hotels from guests and city ledger and to make sure that all accounts are timely paid to-date. Oversee accounts receivable section for all debt recovery for the Hotels. He/she must have a complete understanding of hotel accounts receivable operations, the chart of accounts and be knowledgeable with rooms operations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Adhere to the payment terms of hotel guests;
- Ensure during checkout that all accounts are settled at the front desk, no transfer to the city ledger is allowed unless credit account has been created by Credit Manager;
- Chair monthly credit meeting with General Manager, VP-Finance, Area Director of Sales, Revenue and Reservation Manager and Front Office Manager to report on the status of long outstanding accounts and to exchange information;
- Attend monthly inter-hotel credit manager meeting with other hotels and report to the management;
- Prevent high balances turning into bad debts;
- Run guest over credit report and ensure that all guests within the hotel are within their prescribed credit limit;
- Ensure high balance reports are correctly and punctually prepared and distributed to the respective personnel, in order to determine whether further credit should be extended to individual guests;
- Exercise tight control on accounts past due in order to effect collection;
- Attend to collection of outstanding debts in an effective, firm but diplomatic manner calculated to produce results and at the same time maintain good relations with the clients;
- Supervise the activities of Accounts Assistant (A/R) in order to achieve an efficient and effective performance of his/her duties and responsibilities;
- Ensure that billings are correct and punctual and sending out on time;
