We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Head of Data for Securities Services**

**Role Context**
- The Securities Services Digital, Data & Innovation product group has been created to provide leadership and direction in the field of Digital initiatives within Securities Services, including defining the data strategy requirements to support the provision of new digital services
- The role will be responsible for identifying and developing solutions for real life problem statements that address client needs driving engagement with industry partners by leading or participating in projects to address broader needs of the financial ecosystem.

**Role Purpose**
- To establish and lead the Securities Services Data Product strategy, Cloud strategy, and manage the data analytics and AI function, as part of the wider Digital, Data & Innovation group within HSBC Securities Services.
- To work with clients, to understand their needs and requirements in respect to the services HSBC Securities Services provide - and develop data products to meet these client needs.
- Responsible for continuous maintenance of a robust data product strategy that articulates the shift towards data aggregation, consolidation, and transparency in order to connect to this a suite of pre-integrated business intelligence analytics and reporting tools.
- This suite of external-facing client solutions should build upon and help further shape the design of the internal consolidated data environment upon which Securities Services-wide reporting, MI, insight and analytics can be developed.
- To establish Securities Services-wide governance to steer and control the development of data solutions across the Securities Services client base, ensuring governance is light-touch yet effective.
- To contribute experience and expertise to the Securities Services-wide Data governance strategy.
- To represent Securities Services in Group-wide digital and data strategy initiatives.
- To provide thought leadership, representing Securities Services externally in the field of Digital & Data, including conferences, trade and client events.
- To act as sponsor for projects sitting within the Digital & Data change portfolio, painting the vision and inspiring the Change and IT teams who are responsible for the execution of these projects.
- Demonstrate understanding of the Global Business and Product Strategies, market insights and translating those into solution requirements
- Manage relationships with business stakeholders, clients, fintechs, regulators and industry partners
- To take a pro-active approach in monitoring the market and technology developments likely to be relevant to the securities services industry
- To contribute to wider innovation initiatives across Securities Services, and the broader HSBC group

- Act as the lead-voice of the Securities Services-wide data product strategy, inspiring others into action, providing both the encouragement and opportunity for them to ‘get involved’.
