The Assistant Finance Manager plays a key role in supporting the finance department and assisting the Finance Manager in various financial functions, including full set of accounts, auditing, taxation matters, banking matters, and simple contractual matters. They are responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Full Set of Accounts: Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Audit Requirements: Coordinate and assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation for internal and external audits. Liaise with auditors, address audit queries, and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Taxation Matters: Collaborate with tax advisors or consultants to ensure compliance with tax regulations. Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, handle tax-related queries, and support tax planning initiatives.
- Banking Matters: Manage banking relationships and transactions, including cash management, bank reconciliations, and monitoring of bank accounts. Process payments, handle foreign exchange transactions, and resolve banking issues or discrepancies.
- Simple Contractual Matters: Assist in reviewing and drafting simple contracts or agreements related to financial transactions, such as vendor contracts, lease agreements, or service contracts. Ensure compliance with legal and financial requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Support financial analysis activities, including variance analysis, financial modeling, and performance evaluation. Provide insights and recommendations to assist in strategic decision-making processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial data, conducting analysis, and assisting in the development of budget plans and financial projections.
- Compliance and Policies: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards. Stay updated on changes in financial reporting requirements and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the finance team, senior management, and other departments, to facilitate effective communication and coordination of financial activities. Provide guidance and support to finance staff when necessary.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- At least ACCA/ Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- At least 8 years experience in a midsize organization
- Proven experience in handling full set of accounts, financial analysis, auditing, taxation matters, banking transactions, and simple contractual matters.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
