**Details of the Division and Team**:
The individual will be the senior leader responsible for setting up the Lending Risk Management (LRM) function in Asia Pacific from inception as well as managing the function once set up. This is a new function and is expected to be staffed with 4-5 team members over time which this individual would lead. Over time this function is expected to be extended to other regions as well and will provide longer term global opportunities.
**The key LRM functions include (non-exhaustive)**:
- Driving the credit risk assessment process for the lending portfolio - establishing and executing standardized processes / templates, efficient information flow management across CRM, Coverage (and clients)
- Establishing appropriate credit facility documentation outcomes in a timely & efficient manner (standard docs / clauses, exception management within delegated frameworks, efficient information flow management across Legal, CRM, Coverage (and clients)
- Managing effective limit management & utilization for the credit portfolio
- Effective Post trade credit monitoring and periodic review outcomes
- Act as the key interface / central point for CB across internal stakeholders (Coverage, Product Sales, etc.) and key Infra partners (CRM, Legal, Ops)

**Your key responsibilities:
The role entails:
(1) **Strategic **Business Leadership **in developing & executing the strategy for the Lending Risk Management function across the APAC region. The function is expected to set up and manage the Credit Risk management & Legal documentation process for new lending clients as well as on-going elements of the existing client credit portfolio across CB in APAC. As this role requires making key decisions on various credit & legal matters across a large lending portfolio, a strong understanding of the CB Business & products across Trade Finance, Cash Management etc. as well as key experience in Credit & Legal areas would be important.
(2) **Senior representation & engagement with a wide span of **stakeholders across the CB Business as well as key Infrastructure functions like Credit Risk, Legal & Operations. This will require developing strong relationships across the stakeholders mentioned above and ensuring the interests of the Business, Clients and the Bank are appropriately addressed.
(3) **Governance **ensuring the function is managed in alignment to DB's risk management framework and all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements. The role will also entail driving key portfolio decisions around effective limit management and utilization within the DB risk framework.
(4) **People Leadership **developing a strong risk culture and collaborative outcomes consistent with DB’s Values & Beliefs.
The individual will be member of relevant senior forums and also represent CB vis-a-vis various internal committees and stakeholders as necessary.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Set up of the CB LRM function in APAC by developing key procedures and execution outcomes in accordance with the mandate
- Business execution of the LRM strategy and function across the region.
- Working closely with the country and regional products / coverage within CB as well as be the main interface into Infrastructure functions like Credit Risk, Legal & Operations
- Managing financial & non-financial risks in an efficient manner ensuring sustainability and long term interest of CB business.
- Making appropriate resource allocation recommendations across the lending portfolio
- Developing relationships with clients and regulators as necessary
- Manage, build, recruit and develop a team with diverse business, credit & legal skills to deliver the business execution
- Driving collaboration and a trust-based relationship within division and across DB’s Business Divisions and Infrastructure / Control units
- Representing CB vis-a-vis various relevant internal committees and stakeholders
- Ensure function is managed in alignment to DB's risk management framework and all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements
**Your skills and experience**:
- 10+ years’ experience in the Corporate Banking Business handing credit decisions and managing large lending portfolios.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing the Credit Risk management & Legal documentation process for multi-national & local corporate and FI clients across APAC
