**Job Description Summary**: A Generator & Electrical Systems Engineer is responsible to provide technical resolution for servicing generators and electrical systems in power plants. Inquiries are from both internal & external customers and across various stages of a power plant’s lifecycle. Your support will range from daily troubleshooting guidance to managing complex investigations. As the technical interface, you will have access to GE’s global engineering network & resources built over decades of experience.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Develop technical expertise across wide breadth of generator and electrical systems equipment in power plants
- Provide thorough resolution of Engineering Requests (ER) with a sense of urgency
- Involve in Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) and communicate root cause and corrective action both internally to field teams and GE management and externally to end customers
- Identify trending issues and provide countermeasures to protect our customers’ fleet
- Collaborate with Design Engineering, Product Management, Global Engineering teams, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to provide sound technical resolution in a timely manner
- Develop internal and external communications (TILs, ETC, customer presentations, etc.) to provide guidance on major issue resolution
- Learn and promote a culture of Lean principles into day-to-day activities

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

**Eligibility Requirements**
- Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally on occasion, sometimes on short notice
- Must be willing to work off hours and weekends to support emergency issue resolution
