**Responsibilities**:

- Develops, enhances, and validates the methods of measuring and analyzing risk, for all risk types including market, credit and operational. Also, may develop, validate and strategize uses of scoring models and scoring model related policies.
- Develop models and oversee model development, validation, and deployment efforts.
- Advances Risk Management methodology and integrate models into business decisions and planning.
- Manage successful annual quantitative and qualitative assessments and submissions.
- Works with large datasets and complex algorithms to solve data science challenges.
- Leverages big data to develop innovative deployable solutions.
- Help introduce best-in-class, cutting edge Model techniques to drive profitability through innovation.
- Ensures timely model performance tracking, and assist in process automation to drastically improve process/operation efficiencies (where possible) that will enable the business to make rapid decisions against market condition changes
- Ensures the compliance of development and validation of models with respect to internal and external guidelines.
- Supports the development of training curriculum and standards
- Partners with Risk and Decision Management organizations to understand the source of new data and continue to improve the process of defining, extracting and utilizing the new data
- Interacts with senior levels of management to facilitate understanding of usage of risk models and inform critical decisions.
- Provide leadership and guidance for junior modelers.

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years experience
- Excellent quantitative and analytic skills; ability to derive patterns, trends and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis.
- Experience with analytical or data manipulation tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, R, C Programming in UNIX) Proficient with MS Office suite.
- Ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence executive audiences.
- Excellent communicator; ability to engage and inspire team forward.
- Ability to drive innovation via thought leadership while maintaining end-to-end view.
- Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management; effectively engage with internal audit and external regulators.
- Experience working in Big data environments; Intellectual curiosity to stay abreast of technological advances.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

The APAC Chief Risk Officer (APAC CRO) is responsible for managing Citi’s risk from a regional dimension with oversight of all the risks in Asia across Consumer, Commercial, Institutional Client Group, and the Private Bank. The APAC CRO provides prudential supervision and strategic direction for the entire Independent Risk Management organization in Asia to ensure active identification and management of emerging and existing risks. The APAC CRO also has primary interface responsibilities with the various regulators across Asia and is a key partner to the APAC CEO.

The Office of the APAC CRO carries out the mandate of the APAC CRO, acts as the primary risk contact for regional business and function heads, and coordinates across local legal entity specific governance constructs in the region including engagement at the country and legal entity levels. In partnership with businesses and other functions, the Office of the APAC CRO oversees Citi’s adherence to US and local regulatory requirements as well as other internal and external policies in Asia.

The Stress Testing team within the Office of the APAC CRO is responsible for the technical oversight and execution of quantitative analysis underpinning the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), IFRS 9, CECL, climate risk, and other regulatory driven or ad hoc stress test exercises in APAC.

The team’s mandate includes the assessment of key inputs, outputs, and limitations of centralized risk models to ensure they are fit-for-purpose at the legal entity level. The team is also responsible for supporting new model development for regional solutions for different risk stripes and for coordinating and carrying out ad hoc, event-driven stress tests.

**Key Responsibilities**

The Climate Risk Stress Testing Manager will have a direct reporting line to the APAC Head of Stress Testing. Key responsibilities are as follows.

**Stakeholder Management**
- Support the building and delivery of in-region analytical support for climate scenario design, physical and transition risk assessments, integration with credit risk and market risk assessments, stress loss forecasts, and economic capital where needed, in collaboration with other Risk Pools such as Wholesale Credit Risk, Market Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Risk Data Analytics Reporting & Technology (DART), and other Regional CRO teams.
