[What the role is:]

Division: Resource Discovery and Management Division / Resource Discovery

[What you will be working on]
- Collaborate with teams, external partners, and government agencies to establish operational and work processes to enable linked data services
- Analyse information requirements relating to digital library services and assist with documentation of system specifications to meet those needs
- Support daily operations and the use of tools and technical data to enable semantic search and discovery
- Assist to define data quality business rules and implement data enhancement activities
- Provide technical expertise on large scale projects on entity-linking, entity disambiguation and reconciliation activities
- Support systems infrastructure to facilitate metadata input and use, including use cases, requirements and data migration work for effective metadata creation and use

[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor’s degree in a qualitative discipline (e.g., data science, applied statistics, computer science, computing engineering, applied mathematics) is preferred
- Preferably 2 years of data wrangling experience or relevant experience in the IT industry
- Fresh graduates may apply
- Strong numerical ability and interest working with data and analytics is essential
- Understanding of standards and technologies within the semantic web stack (e.g. RDF, URI, XML) is advantageous
- Ability or strong interest in SPARQL graph query language is desirable
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, Java) is useful
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with colleagues, management, and partners

The successful applicant will first be appointed on a 2-year contract basis.
