Work Train Shunter

Responsibilities:
- Perform duties of a Work Train Station Supervisor or Ground Shunter, as trained, at depot or mainline tunnel or viaduct environment
- Ensure that their work complies with the rules and regulations as trained in accordance with the Works Train manual
- Ensure safe movement of EC/PV inside the Defined Areas in mainline or depot
- Operate and direct the movement of the EC/PV under his charge within the Defined Area in a safe manner as trained in accordance with the Works Train manual
- Assist the Works Train Controller/ Control Centres in shunting of EC/PV in the Defined Area
- Work with the Works Train Controller and consist person-in-charge and execute the movement instructions of the Works Train controller
- Setting and securing of point machine (trackside equipment)
- Assist in the on-the-job training of new Operator & Shunter attached to the EC/ PV
- Other duties assigned
**Requirements**:
- NTC 2/3, GCE O-level or equivalent qualifications
- Has relevant working experience in railway environment
- To perform any allocated shift of the three-rotating 8-hour shift duties
- To work independently and take instructions from the Work Train Controller
- To take charge, monitor and control small work groups
- To report for duty during exigencies, etc.
- To handle situations, incidents, accidents and implement recovery measures in a calm and systematic manner
- To perform physical works in construction environments
**Salary**: $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per month
