**Job Objectives**
As an integral member of the Management team, you will play a key role in partnering the leaders to deliver effective and efficient services to our clients.
The (Asst.) Head is responsible for the review and development of the Brand’s Curriculum, as well as to provide training excellence for the teachin staff in implementing the Curriculum, in accordance with the HQ guidelines. The (Asst.) Head must have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of th Brand’s Curriculum, and must be very familiar with the pedagogical principles, teaching culture and expectations of the Curriculum. He or she must be able to translate best practices and innovative elements into implementation, as well as to provide a role model of high standards of professional, teaching and work culture.
**Key Responsibilities**
**A. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT**
- Review and develop the Brand’s Curriculum.
- Ensures childcare centres deliver the Brand’s Curriculum in accordancewith the guidelines and parameters established by the CurriculumDepartment.
- Develop, plan and implement curriculum trainings/ update briefings forexisting and new teaching staff, including ad-hoc trainings for newteaching staff recruited for new centre set up.
- Supports in supervising, training and mentoring new and existingPrincipals/Vice Principals/Sr. Teachers in the areas of Curriculum, toensure most effective implementation of the Curriculum.
- Ensure that the learning environment, resources and pedagogical approach at the existing childcare centres are consistent with thestandards established by the Curriculum Department.
- Work in partnership with Quality Assurance to provide coaching, guidance and support to childcare centres for SPARK certification,Developmental Visits and re-certification.
- Review and conduct Curriculum validation and audit at the childcarecentres on an annual basis, to ensure consistency and high-qualitystandards of curriculum implementation.
- Provides reporting on centres’ progress in all areas of curriculumimplementation.
- Conduct survey and research on Curriculum and its aspects ofimplementation, to ensure that the standards of Curriculum remaincompetitive and relevant to the market.
- Innovate and introduce new elements into the Curriculum on acontinual basis in order to stay competitive and relevant in the market.
**B. TALENT & CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT**
- Coaches staff on performance management, talent/career development issues and processes
- Provide guidance on continuing professional development for staff
- Providing in-house training for Principals and their teams incurriculum and other related areas
- Partners with HR to develop strategies to develop and retain staff.
- Conduct staff induction program.
- Oversee employee relations, including managing absence,disciplinaries, grievances and sickness
- Manage the staff welfare and training budgets
**C. OTHER AREAS**
- Participate in the RFP (Request for Proposal) or tender process for anypotential new business where appropriate, including the bid document, the financial analysis of new project, terms and conditions and sales presentations to clients (where applicable).
- Develops and maintain strong working relationships with Corporate Clients/Partners, ECDA officers, Community contacts and corporate personnel.
- Develops and maintain professional working relationships with employees at all levels.
- Where required to assist/lead and/or manage assigned projects.
**Job Specifications**
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Care and Education, or equivalent
- At least 8 years of teaching and centre leadership experience combined
- In-depth understanding and knowledge of ECE centre operations
- Familiar with coaching/mentoring and training
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Attention to detail with good problem analysis and solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of staff andacross Departments
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
