**About the role**
The Media Activation team is responsible for providing thoughtful and attractive recommendations for Search, Social, Display, and Video, owning supplier relationships, and then executing those recommendations expertly primarily in the B2C space. The Media Activation team leverages their mastery of each channel to make sure its recommendations are consistently excellent and innovative, and that in-channel performance and data integrity is maximized.
**Some of the thing's we'd like you to do**:
- Lead sub-segment of Media Activation business development (B2C verticals specifically), support client onboarding and in the creation, roll out, and adherence of best practices across channels
- Serve as point of escalation for Media Activation across Search and biddable channels for all B2C teams
- Identify new platforms, partners & integrations relevant to B2C, evaluate these (and existing platforms) over time and maintain a POV
- Lead the development of thought leadership pieces & case studies in B2C throughout the course of the year to demonstrate role within wider industry as a B2C expert
- Deliver quarterly, semi-annual, or annual updates on B2C Activation to all Global and Regional counterparts
- Support the Client Director & Media Activation Practice Lead in capacity planning & resource management for the team
- Lead through vision, values, and model leadership behaviors while championing and facilitating change in a positive manner
- Manage a team of 5-6 senior direct reports, a larger team of up to 60 (indirectly)
**Areas of ownership**:
- Ensure your team is acting as trusted advisor for not only campaign items, but also advising and guiding on the client's wider B2C business priorities and opportunities
- Ensure the team is keeping up to date with latest B2C industry news, and that trends are proactively identified, packaged and surfaced to internal and external clients (highlighting where we can leverage these trends to drive performance, or just to keep teams informed).
- Lead the B2C team in developing and cultivating this behaviour and sharing news and updates with the wider group
- Support pod lead and their reports to ensure they have resource, skills and guidance needed to deliver on campaign goals and deliverables, as well as exceed expectations to surprise and delight internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and initiate agency-wide continuous improvement projects regarding B2C processes and quality standards (i.e. lead at least one of the projects in the Central Workstreams Tracker, and support others in leading projects)
**A bit about yourself**:
- An experienced and exceptionally talented individual, you will be passionate about B2C digital media and have a desire to be at the cutting edge of online advertising.
- At least 10-12 years'' experience within a digital-centric role with a track record of leadership and business growth
- Strong understanding of the digital landscape, suppliers and technology
- Strong analytical skills. Able to analyze and draw conclusions from data and comfortable presenting quantitative information in a client context
- Demonstrate the ability to present your strategic recommendations to external/internal clients
- Eager to learn new concepts and challenge the existing business framework
- Highly developed interpersonal, team building and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated experience in senior stakeholder relationship building and management
- Proven capability in building, developing and mentoring people and teams
- Past experience in managing profitability in the context of agreed scope of work
- Experience in setting work quality standards and consistently delivering against them
