DESIGNATION : Research Assistant (8-month contract), CIS

RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for College of Integrative Studies (CIS).
- Supporting the faculty member’s new research project by:

- Sourcing for data,
- Compiling a detailed catalogue of these data,
- Describing the data’s provenance, historical context, the creators’ biographies,
- Summarizing the critical and popular reception of the literary works.
- Providing cross-references to contemporary writers and their works.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a humanities or social science discipline, literature, history or related social sciences.
- Have some experience conducting qualitative research in Singapore.
- Be organised, detail-oriented and motivated to learn.
- A demonstrated interest in issues related to cultural development and its relation to post-colonial nation-building efforts in Southeast Asia.
- Language skills in Mandarin Chinese and/or Malay.
