Research Assistant

The School of Computer Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is looking for a research assistant working on Quality-of-Service Optimization for Personalized Ranking in Dynamic Graphs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct programming and software development related works on graph processing algorithms and systems
- Design and implement Quality-of-Service related queuing simulation systems
- Design and implement multi-threaded graph processing algorithms to optimize query response time
- Design and implement machine learning models for optimizing the queuing processing
- Conduct experiments and evaluations in queuing systems
- Conduct experiments and evaluations in graph processing systems
- Help with research presentation works such as high-quality paper writing
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Be able to implement graph algorithms efficiently using C/C++
- Motivated in doing high-quality research in database area
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming, including multi-threaded programming for parallel processing
- Have extensive experience in machine learning
- Have extensive experience in parallel processing
- Have knowledge about queuing theory
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills to work within a team
