Private Bank Singapore Operations Lead

As a Private Bank Operations Lead in _the_ Barclays’ Operations team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of the Private Banking Business in Singapore with service delivery and oversight of the Private Banking Operations functions; effectively managing and maintaining processes, control and risk management and compliance with MAS regulations, sitting within Barclays Execution Services (BX), providing services to Private Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM). You should possess _an_ exceptional_ly_ strong understanding of _Private_ Investment Banking, working and leading within an operations environment. You will have accountability for should experience of Client Lifecycle Management, Investment Operations and Credit Operations _service performance_. _The role holder will be a Material Risk Personal (MRP) and therefore requires_ experience of Risk & Control frameworks. _You will have direct line accountability for 4 Operations colleagues._ Fluency in Mandarin _and_/_or_ Bahasa Indonesia language will be a plus as the portfolio covers Greater China and Indonesia stakeholders where a proficiency of the language will help influence the direction of the function, in alignment with strategic as well as tactical priorities. _

**Purpose of the role**

To manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives and compliance with relevant regulators.

**Accountabilities**
- Identification of trends and opportunities to improve areas and develop new process and procedures through the monitoring and analysis of operation data and performance metrices.
- Management of operations for a business area and promote efficient processes, risk management and compliance initiatives to support the bank's operations.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders (including business leaders, project manager and SMEs) and external stakeholders (including vendors and service providers) to support business operations and promote alignment with the bank's objectives and SLAs.
- Management of operational professionals and provide guidance, coaching and support to improve colleagues' delivery quality.
- Management and development of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operation functions, utilising data and technology to support the identification of areas that require improvement.
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to customer experience.
- Creation of a safe environment for colleagues to speak up, actively and regularly encourage and solicit feedback to ensure people agenda remains focused on the right areas.
- Management of attrition by working closely with HR in implementing retention initiatives for work force.
