Business Analyst (1 year Contract)

In this Finance Business Analyst role, you will support the various teams in Finance in managing and coordinating projects and requests, from gathering requirements to successful delivery. Desired personal traits include independence, accountability, collaborative, and possessing a can-do mindset.
- To gather, understand, analyse Finance's business needs and define key deliverables, and document/translate requirements into Business Requirements Specification for submission to technical team
- To develop robust test plans for effective UAT To assist in executing UAT or review UAT executed, raise defects and
- through on defect resolution to support UAT sign-off via the usage of JIRA
- To manage UAT priorities and provide timely updates on testing progress
- To develop queries for data extraction
- To organise regular cadence with stakeholders (business owners and developers) to prioritize and progress projects/requests
- To analyse problems and make recommendation on solutions
- To support project roll out activities
- To support tasks assigned on ad hoc basis

**Who we are looking for**:
**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Good knowledge of testing process and methodologies
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills especially for defects analysis and reports
- Good time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
- Possess strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Process critical thinking skillset to analyst relevant data and foster the right decisions
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office
- Process technical knowledge (e.g. SQL) is an added advantage
- Detailed and meticulous; team player and proactive
- Preferred specialization: Business, Finance or Accounting course
- Advantage if possess knowledge of AS400 and other digital tools, and on insurance operations, expense, compensation areas, finance reporting, etc
- Experience in accounting system implementation is preferred.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification
- The role will be supporting Head, Finance System and Data in managing and coordinating projects and requests, from gathering requirements to successful delivery. Desired personal traits include independence, accountability, collaborative, and possessing a can-do mindset.
