**Position**: Senior/Executive (Volunteer Programme)

The Volunteer Executive (VE) is responsible for liaison and coordination between the hospital staff, volunteers and strategic partners to fulfil the vision, mission, and objectives of the IMH Volunteers Programme. The VE will support the Volunteer Programme team to develop and implement strategies in alignment with the mission and goals, participate in long-term planning and policy formulation to establish new sources of volunteer recruitment, improve overall volunteering experience and strengthen relationships between IMH, its volunteers and strategic partners.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Coordinate deployment of volunteers and oversee volunteer activities to ensure that volunteers are effectively managed to meet the needs of IMH and its patients**:

- Plan the use of resources for the needs of volunteer and patient activities. Participate in volunteer activities/events to ensure that planned programmes are carried out in a safe and conducive manner.
- Mentor and guide volunteers and staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor the performance of programmes, evaluate volunteer activities, and provide feedback for improvement as needed.
- Ensure smooth running of weekly programmes facilitated by the Volunteer Programme team (e.g.: Reading Programme, Mobile Canteen).
- Plan and schedule programmes according to the ground needs, ensuring adequate resources and judicious use of budget.
- Assist in the development and management of the annual budget.
- Support in day-to-day administrative work, including tracking and compiling attendance (patients and volunteers), administering forms, processing claims, upkeep of databases, preparing reports, etc.
- Ensure the governance and compliance with all relevant legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.

**2. Develop and implement strategies to grow and nurture a pool of regular volunteers that will provide services and support for IMH and its patients**:

- Assist in recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers and staff. Provide leadership in programme development and execution.
- Organise mini volunteer gatherings on top of the Volunteers’ Retreat and Volunteer Appreciation Day to network and build camaraderie with regular volunteers.
- Obtain regular feedback from volunteers, develop a volunteer satisfaction survey, and achieve at least 80% satisfaction rating.
- Assist with evaluating volunteer programmes and implementing programme improvements.
- Assist in fundraising activities when needed to secure necessary resources with colleagues from WHCF department.
- Represent IMH at public events, meetings, and communications with stakeholders when needed.
- Advocate for IMH mission and programmes in the broader community, and build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, partners, and stakeholders.
- Participate in research and quality improvement opportunities, if any.

**Requirements**:
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS**

1. General Degree or relevant work experience in healthcare or volunteer sector.

2. Demonstrate competent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

3. Aware of ADVERSE PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

a Risk of physical assault /abuse by psychiatric patients

b General exposure to diseases/infection control
