We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Vice President - Asset, Liability & Capital Management.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Taking ownership of the management of interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB)
- Engaging and liaising with Finance Operations to deliver accurate and timely IRRBB reporting for MAS and PRA purposes
- Taking ownership of the interest rate risk (IRR) buy-in process, including working closely with the Global Businesses, Markets Treasury, MMO and PC to ensure completeness of IRR buy-in
- Monitoring the performance of behaviouralisation assumptions used in the IRR buy-in model
- Preparing relevant ALCO papers
- Ensuring controls around data are robust and evolve over time
- Proactively identifying any IRR issues, and wherever possible, propose remediation plan
- Performing ad hoc analysis in relation to effectively managing interest rate risk for HBSP and SGH
- Provide SME input, when required, into QRM modelling for IRRBB reporting
- Defining and documenting local procedures and guidance for IRRBB

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Relevant HSBC product knowledge and system knowledge
- Strong IRRBB or regulatory reporting background is preferred
- Strong analytical skills, including hands on experience in managing large volumes of data with a proven ability to interpret and comment on data issues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience delivering to internal stakeholders such as internal auditors; business functions; etc.
- Proven experience of supporting project delivery, utilising relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery
- Commercially minded and ability to make decisions in a timely manner
- Demonstrates excellent teamwork
