Kombucha Brewer

Reports to: Manager of Operations

We are building an energetic and creative brewing team. This position allows you to develop your brewing skills.

**Job description**:
The Head Brewer working with the rest of the team will have responsibilities in all areas of brewing operations.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure brewery runs smoothly by executing daily tasks such as:

- Manage brewhouse operations (i.e. plan and oversee first ferment, second ferment, filtering, starter management, tank management etc.)
- Plan and oversse together with Brewer CIP/Sanitization on all vessels (fermenters, heat exchanger, kettle, and brite tanks)
- Troubleshooting, technical maintenance and quality assurance;
- Maintain an inventory of raw materials, brewery supplies and kegs;
- Assist with bottling/kegging when needed;
- Ensuring that the lab work is done properly and in a timely fashion;
- Ensuring that the SOPs and related paper work and associated reporting is done accurately and on time;
- Maintaining cleanliness of brewery, and premises in general;
- Continual development of ones own knowledge about kombucha and brewing.

Key skills and requirements:

- 6 months experience or more in a brewery set-up is a must.
- Some knowledge and understanding of the kombucha brewing fundamentals and processes.
- Homebrewing experience is a must.
- Requires a strong attention to detail, cleanliness and the ability to manage one's self and work in an efficient manner and interact with other team members effectively and professionally.
- Requires the ability to work in a fast paced, wet, loud production environment on one’s feet for most of the day and repeatedly lift 25kg.
