Sr. Specialist, Information Security-vulnerability

**The Role**

We are seeking a Senior Specialist - Information Security-Vulnerability Management.

This position requires maintaining the effectiveness of enterprise-wide information security strategy related programs, processes, and initiatives. Individual should be able to work independently on a given task with minimum supervision and collaborate in a team environment to complete complex projects.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
- 6-8 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required with experience in the securities or financial services industry being a plus
- Experience with working in network infrastructures on large, enterprise environments
- Experience with assessing and analyzing vulnerabilities at a technical level such as understanding how a CVSS score in context with current threat intelligence might affect the severity of a vulnerability
- At least 3 years of experience in software development in containerized environments
- At least 3 years of experience developing secure practices and vulnerability remediation in cloud infrastructure
- Ability to be called upon occasionally outside of usual working hours to respond to critical security events (note: this is not a 24/7 on call position)

- Consults with other IT areas and the businesses and provides professional support for major components of the company's information security infrastructure. Contributes to the development and implementation of security architecture, standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms. Consults with the business and operational infrastructure personnel regarding new and existing technologies. Recommends new security tools to management and reports and provides guidance and expertise in their implementation. Reviews and analyzes complex data and information to provide insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations provides direction and guidance on reports and analyses and ensures recommendations are aligned with customer/business needs and capabilities. Ensures that all significant security concerns are addressed. Recommends course of action to mitigate risk and ensures that appropriate standards are established and published. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
