**Your new role**
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in ensuring strict compliance with anti-money laundering and sanctions guidelines, MAS626, and all relevant/related regulations and internal guidelines. This position is responsible for the processing and settlement of all domestic and cross-border electronic payments, eGiro and cheque clearing services. The incumbent will ensure that operational and settlement risks are identified, monitored, and resolved promptly. The incumbent will ensure prompt and good order processing of domestic and cross-border SWIFT payments, eGiro, and cheque clearing, and payment instructions executed are complied with the respective policies and procedures.
- Process inward and outward remittances, eGiro, cheques clearing
- Ensure daily processes are executed according to published rules, workflows and guidelines in Payments team.
- Ensure internal controls within the processes are executed effectively.
- Work in close cooperation with Compliance to ensure payment orders comply with respective policies and procedures and any ‘hit’ in the Bank’s sanction screening system are promptly escalated, addressed, resolved, and clearly documented in the Payments team.
- Attend to queries, investigations to resolve discrepancies and day to day issues.
- Assist with any other duties or projects as assigned by Head of Department.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Good knowledge of MAS626 guidelines and well versed with respective local regulatory requirements and market practices in handling local and cross border fund movements.
- Good teamwork attitude to share responsibilities and confer with others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- “Hands-on” approach in the day to day operation.
- Strong knowledge of various SWIFT payment modes and domestic clearing systems - eGiro, MEPS+, CTS.
- Confident, service oriented, meticulous and a good team player.
