**Vessel Management**
- Assist to oversee the technical operations of the managed fleet, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimal vessel performance.
- Assist in the technical management of IMO 2 vessels, ensuring they meet operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of the vessels, including machinery, equipment, and overall seaworthiness.
- Advising and arranging with the Master and Chief Engineer of planned maintenance and works to be carried out
- Ensuring that the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) is implemented effectively and regularly updated.
- Support routine maintenance planning, defect rectification, and inventory management for spare parts and consumables.
- **Shipyard & Dry Docking Operations**
- Coordinate and oversee shipyard activities, including planning and executing dry-docking, repair, and major refit projects, which may require travel to overseas port & shipyards.
- Prepare dry-dock specifications, evaluate quotations, and supervise the execution of repair work to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
- Ensure timely completion of shipyard projects, adhering to budgets and company standards.
- Carrying out a complete general inspection of the vessel and reporting with a observation list or defect list.
- **Compliance & Regulatory**
- Ensure vessels are compliant with IMO, Class, Flag State, and Port State requirements, including safety and environmental standards.
- Assist in audits, inspections, and surveys (internal and external) to maintain vessel certifications.
- Stay updated on the latest industry regulations and implement necessary changes.
- **Cost Control & Budgeting**
- Assist in preparing technical budgets and monitoring actual costs versus budgeted amounts.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety and operational standards.
- **Team Coordination**
- Liaise with the ship’s crew, ensuring technical issues are communicated effectively and resolved promptly.
- Work closely with the purchasing, crewing, and operations teams to ensure smooth vessel operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the onboard crew and junior technical staff.
- **Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical management, with hands-on experience in IMO 2 vessels and shipyard operations.
- Strong knowledge of vessel maintenance, repair, dry-docking, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ship management software.
- Willingness to travel to shipyards and vessels when required.

**Preferred**:

- Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer experience on IMO 2 vessels.
- Experience in chemical/product tanker operations and major shipyard projects.
- Familiarity with ISM, ISPS, MLC, and other international maritime conventions.
