**Responsibilities**:

- Assume all purchasing duties across the company inclusive of retail, food service and branded distribution items.
- Improve efficiency in management of inventory to reduce costs and increase productivity for the organization.
- Establish a mix of products to enable Q.B Food to grow and develop their food service and retail offering and become a competitive force in the market.
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
- Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
- Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
- Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
- Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
- Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable

**Requirements**:

- At least 8-10 years in procurement, ideally in FMCG or food sourcing (meat/dairy experience preferred).
- Import knowledge is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive cost savings initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in SAP will be an added advantage.
