The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development and transformation of the built environment sector, in order to improve Singapore’s living environment. BCA oversees areas such as safety, quality, inclusiveness, sustainability and productivity, all of which, together with our stakeholders and partners, help to achieve our mission to transform the Built Environment sector and shape a liveable and smart built environment for Singapore. We are inviting applicants to provide Construction Quality Assessment System (CONQUAS) and Quality Mark (QM) part-time assessment services.

**Job Description**:
The External Assessor is required to carry out quality inspection to the ensure that the building works meets BCA Construction Quality Assessment System (CONQUAS) and Quality Mark (QM) quality standards.

The work requires the External Assessors to:

- Carry out quality inspection in order to determine any defects that did not adhere to the appropriate CONQUAS/QM standards.
- Evaluate the defects by means of construction tools or instruments (such as spirit level etc).
- Interpret, explain and report the defects after each inspection.
- Work with a team of BCA inspectors to carry out the inspection.

Applicants should possess the following requirements:
**Academic Qualifications**
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, M&E Engineering, Architecture or Building. Applicants with other building related certifications or qualifications maybe considered.

**Experience**
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in construction industry, preferably familiar with CONQUAS/Quality Mark assessment.

**Other Requirements**
- Prepared to undergo CONQUAS Training including other briefings when required.
- Possess the certified CONQUAS/Quality Mark qualification
- Possess minimum certification in Construction Safety Orientation Course (MOM-approved course provider).
- Must participate in a minimum number of CONQUAS/Quality Mark assessment observations (determined by BCA) before conducting assessment.
- Able to provide own transport and Personal Safety Equipment (such as safety shoes and safety helmet).
