**Position Summary**

In support of ASM’s growth ambition and digitalization journey there is a need to further improve and leverage upon data. From sales, to manufacturing, to our maintenance services the data architect will link up our business operations, support operations and technologies.

The Data Architect is a senior IT professional supporting the Global Enterprise Architect to translate business needs into a scalable data and analytics architecture, and roadmap. As such, the Data Architect has a healthy degree of business acumen and is driven to understand how ASM operates. ASM is growing fast, and we are searching for a Data Architect who can help us to scale up and enable business outcomes via data, and analytics.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Participate in (business) initiatives, and own data solution designs_
- Define data solution designs and provide data expertise, for instance, for our manufacturing or maintenance services teams. Translate (business) requirements into technical specifications, including scalable data models, data pipelines, databases, analytical tooling, and data warehouses, or lake.
- Work together with other architects (e.g., cloud and security) to create an overarching solution design.
- Support new kinds, types and sources of data to enable business innovation throughout ASM.
- Own ASM’s data architecture _
- Review, define and manage ASM’s data architecture framework and roadmap to meet business and technology requirements, while adhering to security policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business needs, and direction into data strategies.
- Establish data flows e.g., internal and external data sources, which teams require data to function, how data flows are managed, how data is stored, and data transformation.
- Visualize and design ASM’s data landscape.
- Participate in the Architecture Review Board, and architecture community in ASM.

**Job Requirements**

**Education**

A degree in business administration, mathematics, engineering, data science, information technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience. Relevant professional training or certificates are desired, but not required.

**Experience** and skills**
- Must have_
- A drive to understand our (business) operations.
- Action oriented, we are moving fast, and so should you.
- You enjoy defining data (solution) designs, and working with stakeholders to implement these.
- A minimum of three years of data architecture and solutioning experience.
- In-depth knowledge in one or multiple competency areas related to data and analytics. Examples are data lake design, business intelligence, data science, data engineering, data governance, master data management, and data quality.
- Must understand system development life cycles and project management approaches.
- Able to collaborate and coordinate with multiple teams, (business) stakeholders and external partners.
- Desired (not required)_
- A minimum of five years of data architecture and solutioning experience.
- Experience in SAP S4, SAP BW, SAP AFO, SAP Embedded Analytics, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft PowerBI, AWS, Tableau, Sapience, Teamcenter, or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Experience in manufacturing or supply chain.
- Experience in predictive maintenance, operational technologies (OT), machine learning, or artificial intelligence (AI).
- Management experience would be beneficial.
