Mechanical Technician

**Description**:
- 44 hours per week with working hours:
**Job Purpose**:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing Utilities, Process and MST pilot plant equipment and ensures cGMP, HSE, Statutory, Regulatory/authority requirements and is in alignment with Novartis Guidelines and Policy in the execution of equipment maintenance.
**Major Accountabilities**
**Operation**
- Execute maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities and provide world class maintenance services to support reliable manufacturing operations.
- Comply with Novartis cGMP, HSE, Statutory, Regulatory/authority requirements in executing maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors/vendors in the execution of their duties to ensure maintenance services are carried out properly and promptly in accordance to Novartis and Regulatory requirements.
- Perform proper documentation of all maintenance and repair activities via CMMS SAP-PM.
- Maintain interface with all stakeholders (e.g. PU, MST and HSE) to ensure quality maintenance services are provided to support manufacturing operations.
- Support plant equipment commissioning activities as required.
- Any other assignment by Supervisor as required.
- (For Senior role) Lead and manage a team of mechanical technicians to support and provide world class maintenance services to support reliable manufacturing operations.

- Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Acquires and maintain knowledge in his/her area of expertise.
**Key Performance Indicators**
- Feedback from stakeholders (e.g. PU, MST and HSE).
- Support commissioning and start up and timelines.
- Safety: No lost time accident.
- Demonstrates the ability to work successfully as a member of a multi-discipline team.
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
**Ideal Background**
Education (minimum/desirable): Recognized Diploma or NITEC in Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent discipline.
Languages: English fluent in speaking and writing. Mandarin Chinese a plus
**Experience**:
- 5-10 years relevant experience in engineering environment,
- Experience in cGMP and/or pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
- Experience in start-up or commissioning experience is an advantage
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
