The role is mainly responsible for close supervision of reinforce concrete works and monitoring daily construction activities as per method statements; achieving daily production targets through direct / sub contracted staff; updating daily diaries & time sheets in an accurate and timely manner; driving adherence to quality protocols and HSE guidelines WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF implementing all project activities in a safe and timely manner in accordance with LAIO quality standards.

Project Execution:

- Understand and implement the method statements and drawings; Provide inputs to engineers and supervisor on improving the method statements and/or design; Plan for meeting assigned daily production targets set by Superintendent
- Translate targets to direct/sub-contractor staff in terms of timelines and quality of deliverables in line with safety guidelines
- Organize work area and estimate and coordinate logistic requirements for each task; Secure approval for procurement of materials / equipment in timely manner
- Supervise works to prevent wastage, keep track of materials, maintain in-& out records; Minimize wastage of any material
- Conduct daily meetings with subcontractor staff, analyse issues and identify areas for improvement
- Resolve issues faced by team (labour / equipment related) and raise escalations to supervisor as needed
- Clarify technical query in doubt with site Project Engineer / Snr. Engineer before executing.
- Work independently and interpret the drawing correctly and avoid re-work.

Health, safety & environment (HSE) management
- Understand & comply with the HSE requirements based on LAIO internal framework, local regulations and contractual obligations
- Communicate the same to subordinates and subcontractors, and monitor compliance on an on-going basis
- Attend toolbox meetings and be a role model to promote workplace safety by keeping a clean, neat and tidy work place at all times
- Identify risks and mitigation measures for safe execution of activities; Physically make required equipment available and check for adherence of safe work practices by workmen during implementation
- Maintain a clean & tidy worksite during execution and make provisions so that safety standards are met on the site; Conform to the LAIO safety requirements in all activities
- Assist investigations in accidents/ incidents in order to discover the root cause and prevent from re-occurrence.
- Facilitate any physical audits / safety walks in his/her area in the site by Project staff or client inspectors

Reporting & Documentation
- Monitor, supervise and track each and every activity going on at the site for timeliness and adherence to quality standards
- Review time sheets for each person of the assigned team; Check and verify accuracy of time entries
- Keep accurate record of all activities, staff & sub-contractor staff, plant and utilisation and execution of activities (weather, no. of workers on-site delays, lost material, plant on site & used, visitors, etc)
- Keep good record of and circulate/submit daily diary sheet as required
