Process Engineer

We are recruiting for a client that privately-owned by French company, founded in 1880 and is based in Lyon, France. It has offices worldwide and is present in over 60 countries through an established network of affiliates and distributors.

With the expansion of the organization of Asia Pacific regional office in Singapore, we are seeking to recruit a _Process Engineer_ to support the industrial operations. If you are passionate about chemical process related operations, this is an opportunity for you.

**PROCESS ENGINEER**

Reporting to the Third-Party Manager, the _Process Engineer_ will support the organization operations at the production site in Asia Pacific region. He or She will provide support for production manufacturing process to ensure high quality product, improve production output, collaborate on the installation of new equipment and the improvement of the existing equipment.

The _Process Engineer _will also work with various stakeholders, vendors and the organization’s corporate office to enhance the operational efficiency in Singapore.

**MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Overview of activities**
- Conduct laboratory & pilot trials for process improvement/optimization.
- Record trial results to present in an effective & precise explanation.
- Ensure the equipment maintenance of pilot & its inventory.
- Submit/Review reports bi-weekly if necessary.
- Ensure continuous process improvements (products, process, analysis, organization)

**Industrial Process Improvement/Optimization**
- Proactively monitor, identify, develop, and implement improvement to processes & equipment.
- Minimize downtime & achieve product quality by performing engineering analysis, recommend opportunities for improvement and capture analysis in campaign summary documents.
- Supports problem solving using continuous improvement tools - RCAs, fishbone, and 5S.
- Develop Manufacturing/Operating Instructions and necessary Standard Operating Procedures
- Investigate, report, and troubleshoot findings on production dysfunctions observed during campaign.
- Communicate weekly to sub-contractors for any process updates/optimization.
- Train the staffs on the manufacturing process and procedures as required.

**Industrial Scale-up & Campaign**
- Follow the production campaigns & conduct weekly meetings with Sub-Contractors
- Provide engineering/technical support to day-to-day plant operations and maintenance.
- Participate in the industrial trial transfer with Chemist to scale-up the manufacturing process of existing & new products in Singapore site from the Laboratory/Pilot trials.
- Assist & participate to troubleshoot the industrial scale-up process problems to minimize production downtime, achieve higher quality products and reduce costs.

**Industrial Equipment Installation**
- Collaborate on the installation of any new equipment.
- Perform detailed studies of new equipment and/or technology to enhance product output.
- Co-creates validation documents (IQ, OQ, & PQ) and leads the execution of process qualifications for new and existing production systems & equipment.
- Involve with Sub-Contractors in preparing/modifying the P&ID drawings & document.
- Manage the installation, validate the equipment, and create the procedures to run the equipment.
- Train the staffs (Quality Team & Production) involved.

**Quality & Safety Environment**
- Collaborate to obtain products in accordance with the GMP rules.
- Follow and hold others accountable for following Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) instructions.
- Observe and follow the safety procedures (PPE, MSDS and etc)
- Conduct investigation to assist on non-conformity response.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Experienced in GMP Environment, Pharmaceuticals/Cosmetic industry - (hands-on experience)
- Preferably experienced with Oleochemistry.
- Experience in optimization of processes, including the establishment of process KPIs.
- Ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries to achieve company results.
