**Job Purpose**

The role is responsible for driving portfolio management, profitable growth and technical competencies across the Asia Pacific P&C insurance markets. The aim is to minimize underwriting risk, optimize profitability and take internal and external customer needs into account in the process. In doing so, the P/C insurance value chain needs to be considered from an E2E perspective.

**What you do**
- Set up formats to monitor portfolio performance of P&C insurance business in the region, running the format and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Support in growth-driving initiatives across the region (Electric vehicles, cross-selling, churn reduction, ESG)
- Collaboration with actuarial departments in Asia Pacific countries, supporting the actuarial community, and sharing best practices of the region and of the Group. Organizing regional conferences, workshops, and trainings
- Taking up a governance role for P/C in the Asia Pacific region (Technical Committee, product approvals, referrals to Group)
- Assist in the development of new products (pricing, risk analysis, and profitability analysis) and change of existing products
- Support development and enhancement of pricing models for products, taking into account appropriate actuarial pricing procedures

**What you bring**
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with great attention to detail
- Good knowledge of mathematical statistics and predictive modeling
- Experience in the development of strong end-to-end solutions, all the way through from problem definition to full analysis to development of actionable recommendations
- Self-motivated / proactive with a natural curiosity to ask probing questions and ensure that those questions lead to appropriate action
- More than 5 years of experience in the pricing or portfolio management function in the P/C insurance industry
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complicated processes and concepts to non-experts
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and resolve complex problems without direct supervision.
- Knowledge of Willis Towers Watson software (Emblem, Classifier, Radar)
- Degree in Actuarial, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Mathematics or related field
- Overall 8-10 years of relevant working experience
